HOLLY STAG FROM DOODLE PANTRY

Hey y’all! I’m still chilling with my DD, trying to take some pictures to share with you!  I am still playing with digital stamps and combining the images to create a card. Please let me know what you think. Honestly!!! I need to know if this is a good direction or something to move away from…

You all know I LOVE Doodle Pantry’s images. Laurie creates the sweetest images ever! I am playing with combining them to create quick cards. This one uses an image, sentiment and paper from the Holly Stag set to create a quick and simple card.

I did not call this “clean and simple” because I am still a little confused over the definition. I “think” this is CAS, but someone who is more familiar with that style will have to tell me.  I combined the sentiment, paper and deer image, printed it and cut it for this card. I stacked it on a couple of layers of cardstock and stitched them.  A little red ribbon from RRR and three (oops…4. there is one at the holly “collar”) crystals complete this card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Please leave comments so I know you were here!

CAROLING FRIENDS PLUS SOME

Hi happy bloggers! I am visiting my DD this week, but I have a few cards that I scheduled to magically appear on my blog for you.  I have been doing more with digital stamps and decided to play with combining different elements and printing them as an image.  Please let me know what you think.

For this card, I combined several of Doodle Pantry’s stamp sets to create a Christmas scene. The individual sets that I used are shown below with links to them at Doodle Pantry.  Once created and printed, I used a SB Fleur de Lis to die cut the image, then layered it on cardstock.  I used tiny crystals on each of the points of the die cut plus three larger ones in the left top corner.  Lace from RRR runs down the right side of the card and a bow made from some white-on-white ribbon finish this card.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Please leave comments so I know you were here!

OPERATION WRITE HOME SKETCH 139

Hello crafty friends! Today is Sunday, so that means it is time for Operation Write Home’s sketch challenge!

I really wanted to use this window die from Memory Box on this card, so it is not exactly like the sketch, but close.  I used Heartfelt Creations trees “outside” the window and made a wreath using a pine punch to create the wreath shape.  The little table is from Great Impressions.  The lace, flower and sentiment are all from Inspired by Stamping, with the sentiment placed on a SB Labels Two.  The green strip under the rose is ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I used Craftwell cardstock and scraps for my papers. Links to all are shown below.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I am always so happy to see that you have been to my blog.

MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE

Hello sweet friends! I hope you are enjoying your weekend. This morning Joy and I went with our neighbors for a three mile walk on a trail through the woods.  Now remember, I am no spring chicken, and I broke my ankle last November the week before going to see my daughter.  So I was a little nervous about turning an ankle or tripping and falling over a rock or tree root, but other than that we had a blast and poor little Joy has been sleeping all day.  We are going to make this a weekly thing. I guess I see hiking boots somewhere in my near future!

Today I am sharing my card for Viva la Verve’s September Week 3 sketch. (This is my second post for today, so please scroll down to see the first one!)

This was so quick and simple to make. I used the pre-colored digital image from Doodle Pantry’s French Horn. The gold paper was cut with the SB Lacey Squares and red pearls were added.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I am always so happy to see that you have been to my blog.
Please leave comments so I know you were here!
